  help me think like an elder

  ok guys, i have been tasked to ask for your opinions regarding this case.. and be honest.

  my brother sexted a girl a little over a year ago, they never dated, and she got mad at him.... she got engaged and the engagement ended in august.. she attempted suicide, then talked to the elders an told him she was gonna tell on him too, now that was in august, the sister told my brother that since she didn't know his hall they couldn't do anything.. we found that doesn't seem right, so hes been freaking out, but ita now two days away from 2017 and the elders haven't speaked to him yet.. why could that be?

  could they give him all this time to confess?

Could they give him all this time to confess? Should he confess, due to the two witness rule, and girls don't usually save nudes? Hes saying that thy sent a letter to the branch office for consultation.. Idk ,can i please get your input on this

  How long does it take to get a response from the branch office?

  does any one have any experience with writing to the branch office?

  i know they're busy, but while reading through the shepherd textbook, it says to write to them quite a few times.

  so if a body of elders write to the branch office, whats the usual wait time for a response?

  Hahahahahaha... I ask cuz of my brother throwing hypotheticals at me, hes freaking out over it.. Soo jokes aside judicial cases do guarantee fast replies?

  Thank you for your input .. But how would they know if it's from a boe? And is it fast if it relates to a judicial issue?( like if the elders seek guidance on whether or not such offense merits a judicial committee) that sort of thing

  does the wts/ bethel keep a database of all of its active members?

  he and a girl sexted she went to the elders and tried to tell on him, but she didn't know what was his congregation, and i dont think that they keep the publisher cards, but do they have his name in file and can just look him up and find his hall or do they need his congregation name in order to catch him?

  he told me about this, ive told him to try this out, he wouldn't ..but now i'm curious, whether or not they have him and all his information.

  Thats, what i dont know and wish someone gave me some clarification on. Do elders ask for proof? Cuz in in the shepherding book they state, that if someone confesses to anything, they'll accept it with no proof needed, but do they ask in order to find the other party guilty?

  Also, shouldn't there be two witnesses? To this? I mean i guess she can show the pictures as proof ( do they ask for em?) But girls dont typically save those, especially if they weren't even dating

  Ok, ill tell him that, and no minors were involved, she got dfd but she also was df because she had sex with her multiple ex she was reproved once and although its been more than three months since she got df he is still paranoid, as would anybody i think in something like this that might get you df and make your loved ones shun you
